This season, as we build up to Christmas, I’m excited to be part of the excitement, sharing my work at two great local events: the Bath Contemporary Art Fair and the Bath Independent Market.
If you’ve love a good market - or simply want to come and see the creative talent - do come along and say hello.
Where you’ll find me
Bath Contemporary Art Fair Saturday 9th November and Saturday 14th December
This fair brings together some of the most talented artists and makers in the South West. Expect to find everything from fine art and sculpture to ceramics and textiles - all thoughtfully made, each unique. I’ll be showing a curated collection of my handmade mugs, bowls, and vases, with some special affordable pottery gifts for all budgets.
Bath Independent Market Saturday 16th November and Saturday 21st December
A vibrant market full of independent makers, food stalls, and music - this one has a really fun, community feel. It’s the perfect spot to pick up gifts that are truly personal and handmade. I’ll be there with a range of smaller pieces and festive ceramics that make thoughtful, sustainable presents.
Why I love Bath’s art scene
Bath has always been a city that celebrates creativity. From the artisan quirky Walcot Street to the thriving network of independent makers across Somerset, there’s a strong sense of collaboration and craftsmanship here.
What I love most is how people genuinely want to connect with the stories behind the work. Every time I talk to someone at a market about a mug or bowl, the conversation turns to the process - the clay, the glaze, the small imperfections that make each piece unique.
Come say hello (and shop local this season)
Whether you’re local to Bath or visiting for the weekend, why not pop along? It’s a great opportunity to see me Jules in person, chat about the making process, and maybe find a piece that feels right for your home or as a gift.
Supporting small makers doesn’t just keep creativity alive - it keeps communities thriving.
See you in Bath this autumn!
